Creator earnings

Listing markets is a business, not a favour. Every bet on your market pays a 10% entry fee and you keep 2055% of it — credited claimable the instant the market settles, with no vesting and no minimum payout.

The protocol number is computed as a subtraction, never a second multiplication — conservation is exact, and the protocol absorbs the rounding dust.

The tier ladder

Tiers are lifetime and never demote. They are earned with resolutions and real volume, in that order — the ladder rewards creators who actually settle what they list.

TierFee shareRequiresPublic creates / 24hOpen public cap
Rookie20%the starting tier210
Sharp35%10 resolutions + $1000.00 real volume1025
Oracle50%50 resolutions + $12500.00 real volume2525
  • Real USDC only. Practice (pUSDC) volume can never promote you or move your score — that firewall is what kills points-farming.
  • Your own bets count. Own volume counts toward tier bars and score volume, and you earn your share on the fees your own bets pay. It is your capital, and the protocol’s remainder makes wash volume lossy anyway.
  • Higher tiers unlock supply, not just money — more creates per day, more simultaneous open markets, plus recurring streams and collection curation at Sharp+.

The weekly kicker

Each week the top 10 creators by Creator Score earn +5 percentage points of fee share for the following week, capped at 55% in total. It is a recurring performance bonus rather than a one-off prize: a Sharp creator in the top 10 earns 40% that week; an Oracle earns the 55% ceiling.

Referral earnings

Separate from your creator share and stackable with it: bring a bettor and you earn 20% of the fee on everything they stake anywhere on Bazaar for 180 days — not just on your own markets. Full mechanics on Sharing & referrals.

Claiming

Credits appear on your profile the moment a market settles. One press claims your creator fees and your referral earnings together; a double submit is a no-op rather than an error, because the ledger decides what moves, not the button.

StateMeaning
creditedEarned and claimable now.
claimedPaid out to your wallet.
refundedThe market was voided (unresolved, or refunded in the bettors' favour) — nobody earns on a refunded market.
forfeitedA policy takedown clawed the fees on that market back to treasury.

Practice earnings are not claimable

pUSDC is non-cashable by design. Paper markets show the same fee mechanics so the rehearsal is honest, but there is no claim — and the product says so rather than returning a silent zero.

Seasons and the prize pool

Seasons run on a trailing 90-day window and rank creators by their latest weekly score snapshots. A season sets aside 10% of the protocol’s fee take for that window as a creator prize pool, with the percentage stamped onto the season row at creation, so a later retune can never rewrite a season already underway.

Where this stands today

Standings and the prize manifest are live and reproducible (the manifest is a pure computation with a conservation check, and every amount is an exact decimal string). The transfer leg is deliberately not shipped yet — executing a real season payout is launch ops signed off against a frozen season, so an execute request returns 501 by design rather than moving money from inside a feature sprint.

Forfeited fees always go to treasury, never into a prize pool — otherwise a takedown would look like it funded somebody’s prize.

What a real month looks like

You list 12 markets in a month and resolve all 12 on time.
Total volume across them: $8,000 in bets.

fee take $8,000 × 10% = $800.00
your share, Rookie × 20% = $160.00
your share, Sharp × 35% = $280.00
your share, Oracle × 50% = $400.00
 + weekly kicker × 55% = $440.00

Plus referral earnings: 20% of the fee on every bet placed by
anyone you referred, anywhere on Bazaar, for 180 days each.
Illustrative. Substitute your own volume — the arithmetic is the only thing this figure claims.

Common questions

When exactly am I credited?
At settlement. The resolve call pays the bettors and writes your fee credit in the same pass, so “resolved” and “paid” are the same moment.
Do I earn on a market that nobody resolved?
No. An auto-refunded market returns the fee to the bettors too, so there is nothing to split. The incentive points exactly where it should.
Do private markets earn the same?
Yes — same fee, same share, same tier and score credit. Visibility changes discovery, not economics.
Can I raise my share by buying a tier?
No. Tiers are earned from resolutions and real volume only. There is no purchase path.
