Before you start
Three things, and the third is only for betting:
An X account
Markets are made from posts. Your handle is the face on every market you open.
A Bankr wallet on that account
Bankr signs for you. Step 1 covers it if you have never used Bankr.
USDC on Base, to bet
Creating is free. Bets start at $0.50, paid from the same wallet.
Step 1
Get a Bankr wallet on your X account
If you have tagged @bankrbot on X before, you already have one: Bankr ties a wallet to your X account and recognises you whenever you tag it. Skip to step 2.
- 1.Open bankr.bot and sign in with your X account. Approve the connection when X asks.
- 2.If Bankr offers to add a recovery email, do it, so losing your X login never locks you out of the wallet.
- 3.Open the Wallet tab and copy your Base address. Send it USDC on Base if you plan to bet; skip this if you only want to create.
Signing in with X is what links the two. Bazaar takes your handle from the account Bankr knows, never from text in a post.
Step 2
Install the hunch-bazaar skill
Send Bankr this one sentence. In Bankr’s chat at bankr.bot is easiest, because you can see the result right away:
install the hunch-bazaar skill from https://github.com/rajkaria/hunch-skills/tree/main/hunch-bazaar
Or post it to the bot on X. Skills belong to your Bankr account, so either place works everywhere:
@bankrbot install the hunch-bazaar skill from https://github.com/rajkaria/hunch-skills/tree/main/hunch-bazaar
- 1.Bankr fetches the skill’s
SKILL.mdand its reference files from rajkaria/hunch-skills and saves it to your account. It is listed in Bankr’s own catalogue too, at BankrBot/skills. - 2.Check it landed: open bankr.bot/skills and look for
hunch-bazaarunder Installed. - 3.Test it: send
bazaar help. Bankr answers with the fee, the minimum bet, the 48-hour guarantee and your creation limits.
Good to know
- No API key, no environment variables, no Hunch account. Creating from X uses Bankr’s own signing for your wallet.
- Updating is the same sentence again: it replaces the installed copy. The skill checks its version once per session and tells you when a newer one is out.
- Want Hunch’s curated crypto markets too? That is a separate skill:
install the hunch skill from https://github.com/rajkaria/hunch-skills/tree/main/hunch - Only install skills from sources you trust: a skill shapes what your agent does. This one’s full source is public.
Step 3
Ask @bankrbot for a market
There are two ways to ask, and both start with a post on X.
Write the question yourself
@bankrbot market this: <question> or make a market: <question>. Put the number, the moment and the source in the post.
Reply under someone’s post
@bankrbot market this as a reply. Their post becomes the source, quoted in the criteria, and the bot drafts the question from its claim.
The walkthrough below follows one market from the first post to the payout:
@you
@bankrbot market this: Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC on Nov 6, 2026? Source: CoinGecko
Step 4
Read the preview
The bot replies with a draft. Nothing is created yet: the preview is there so you publish exactly the terms you read. This is the reply, as the bot writes it:
@bankrbotbot reply
Draft, not live yet: "Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC on Nov 6, 2026?" YES / NO · betting closes Nov 6 20:00 UTC · you resolve it by Nov 9 20:00 UTC Source: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum 2% of the pool, taken at settlement from the winners' payout and never more than the losing side's total. Stakes enter the pool whole; voids and refunds carry no fee. Unresolved 48h past the deadline (by Nov 11 20:00 UTC), every bettor is refunded in full. Once live, nothing about it can change. Reply "confirm" to publish.
Draft, not live yet: "Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC on Nov 6, 2026?"
Nothing exists yet. This is the question exactly as it will publish.
YES / NO · betting closes Nov 6 20:00 UTC · you resolve it by Nov 9 20:00 UTC
The outcomes, when betting stops, and your deadline to resolve. Every time is UTC.
Source: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum
The link the market resolves against. Bettors see it on the card.
2% of the pool, taken at settlement from the winners' payout and never more than the losing side's total. Stakes enter the pool whole; voids and refunds carry no fee.
The fee: 2% of the pool, only at settlement, only from the winners.
Unresolved 48h past the deadline (by Nov 11 20:00 UTC), every bettor is refunded in full.
The guarantee: if you never resolve, every bettor gets their whole stake back, and the miss stays on your record.
Once live, nothing about it can change. Reply "confirm" to publish.
Nothing can be edited after this. Reply "confirm" within 5 minutes, from the same account.
If something is wrong, do not confirm: post again with the fix. A draft with a problem says what stops it instead (“I can’t publish that yet: …”), and an open market that looks similar is listed so you can bet on it instead. Publishing yours anyway is fine.
Step 5
Reply confirm
Reply confirm to the preview, from the account that asked, within 5 minutes.
@you
confirm
Then, without anything else from you:
- 1.Bankr loads the exact terms it showed you, saved to your own Bankr wallet's files when it posted the preview. A confirm can only publish what you read.
- 2.Bazaar hands back one plain-text message for your wallet to sign: it names bazaar.playhunch.xyz, the action, your wallet, Base (chain 8453), a fingerprint of the exact market, and a one-time nonce. It ends “Free to sign. Sends no transaction.”
- 3.Bankr signs it with your wallet. Bazaar checks the signature matches the wallet and the terms, and publishes.
@bankrbotbot reply
Live: "Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC on Nov 6, 2026?" Settled by @you by Nov 9 20:00 UTC. No bets yet: you set the odds. https://bazaar.playhunch.xyz/markets/<id>
It is live. The link opens the market on Bazaar with the question, your record, the criteria and the source above the pool. Asking twice from the same post never makes a second market; the bot answers with the first one.
Step 6
Share it and take bets
Post the link, or just let people reply in the thread. Anyone with a Bankr wallet can bet without leaving X; anyone else bets on the web with a wallet. In the market’s thread, a reply is enough:
@bankrbot bet $5 YES on this
@bankrbot odds on this
A bet is quoted first: the payout against the pool as it stands, your record as the person settling it, and a plain disclosure. It is paid in USDC on Base only after the bettor replies confirm. With no bets yet the market has no odds: the first bettor sets them. You can bet on your own market; your position is shown next to your name.
Step 7
Resolve it
Close
Betting stops at the time in the preview.
~10 min
Bazaar locks the pool. Now you can resolve.
Deadline
Resolve before close + 72h.
+48h
Still unresolved: every bettor is refunded in full.
Reply in the market’s thread with the outcome and your reason:
@you
@bankrbot resolve YES, CoinGecko printed $5,112 at 20:00 UTC
Winners are paid in the same call and the bot posts the result in the thread: the outcome, the winners paid, the pool and the fee. A resolution is final. Only you can resolve: when anyone else replies “resolve”, the bot names you and signs nothing.
Can’t settle it fairly (the source stopped publishing, the event was cancelled)? Void it before resolving, with a reason of at least 10 characters. Every bettor is refunded in full with no fee, and your reason is shown on the market:
@bankrbot void bazaar.playhunch.xyz/markets/<id> CoinGecko stopped publishing that pair, so it can't resolve fairly
Never sure what is due? @bankrbot what do I need to resolve on bazaar? lists your markets past close, soonest deadline first.
Example posts, ready to send
Copy one, change the details, post it. Relative times like “this Friday” are fine: the preview reads every time back as an exact UTC moment before anything publishes.
A price on a datenew post
@bankrbot market this: Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC this Friday? Source: CoinGecko
YES / NO. The number, the moment and the source are all in the post, so the preview has nothing to guess.
Someone's claim, as a marketas a reply
@bankrbot market this
Reply under a post like “we ship v2 next week”. The post becomes the source: the bot quotes the claim and drafts the question and criteria from it.
A post's own reachas a reply
@bankrbot market this: will this post pass 1,000 reposts by Sunday 23:59 UTC?
Reply under the post you mean. It resolves on the repost count shown on the post at that moment.
A multi-outcome laddernew post
@bankrbot make a market: where does BTC close at the end of this month (UTC)? Outcomes: under $100k, $100k to $125k, over $125k. Source: CoinGecko daily close
One market, one pool, up to 10 outcomes. Say which band wins on an exact boundary, or the preview will ask.
A vote or a decisionnew post
@bankrbot make a market: will proposal 42 pass on Snapshot? Betting closes when voting ends, Thursday 16:00 UTC. Source: the proposal's Snapshot page
Anything with a public, checkable answer works: a vote, a launch date, a listing, an announcement.
Your own communitynew post
@bankrbot make a market: will our Friday X Space pass 500 live listeners? Resolves on the listener count at 21:00 UTC Friday
Small markets for your own people are the point. You settle it, and your record is on the card.
Write a question that settles cleanly
The test: could two honest people read your market and disagree about who won? If yes, bettors will. Each fix below adds the one thing that was missing.
A number, not a mood
Before
Will ETH pump this week?
After
Will ETH trade above $5,000 at 20:00 UTC this Friday?
A moment, in UTC
Before
Will v2 ship?
After
Will v2 be live on mainnet before Friday 23:59 UTC?
A source anyone can open
Before
Will the vote pass?
After
Will proposal 42 pass? Source: the proposal's Snapshot page
A fact, not a judgement
Before
Will the launch be a success?
After
Will the token pass 1,000 holders on Basescan by Sunday 23:59 UTC?
For a multi-outcome market, say which outcome wins on an exact boundary (is $100k “under” or “$100k to $125k”?).
Every command
Plain English works; these are the phrasings the skill is built around. Anywhere a link goes, a reply in the market’s thread works too.
Make a market
@bankrbot market this: <your question>
Drafts a market and replies with a preview. Nothing is created yet.
@bankrbot market this (as a reply under a post)
Turns the post you replied to into the market's source and drafts the question from it.
@bankrbot make a market: <question>? Outcomes: A, B, C
A multi-outcome market, up to 10 outcomes.
confirm (as a reply to the preview)creator only
Publishes exactly what the preview showed. Only the account that asked can confirm, within 5 minutes.
Settle it
@bankrbot resolve YES (as a reply in the market's thread)creator only
Resolves it and pays every winner in the same call. Add your reason after a comma; it is shown on the market.
@bankrbot resolve bazaar.playhunch.xyz/markets/<id> NOcreator only
The same, from anywhere, by link. A multi-outcome market takes the outcome's name.
@bankrbot void bazaar.playhunch.xyz/markets/<id> <a reason of 10 or more characters>creator only
Cancels it before you resolve. Every bettor is refunded in full, no fee, and the reason is shown.
@bankrbot what do I need to resolve on bazaar?creator only
Your markets past their close, soonest deadline first, each with its auto-refund time.
Bet and read

Troubleshooting
Bankr answers in general terms and never shows a “Draft, not live yet” preview
Bankr did not pick the skill for that post.
Name it: “@bankrbot use the hunch-bazaar skill to make a market: …”. Check the skill is under Installed at bankr.bot/skills.
“I can't publish that yet: …”
The draft is missing something: a close time, a checkable source, criteria.
Post again with the missing piece. The message names each one.
“Bazaar won't list that: …”
The content screen refused the market.
It is final for that question. Rephrasing it to get past the screen is refused too.
“You can open 3 markets per 24 hours. Your next slot opens at …”
You hit your rolling 24-hour limit.
Wait for the time it names. Resolving on time raises the limit, up to 10.
A refusal about open or unresolved markets
You already hold 10 markets that are open or waiting for you to resolve.
Resolve one: “@bankrbot what do I need to resolve on bazaar?”
“That post already made this market”
You asked twice from the same post. Nothing new was created.
Use the link in the reply. Each post makes at most one market.
A refusal saying another creator already used that post
Someone made a market from that post first.
Bet on theirs, or reply under a different post.
You replied “confirm” and Bankr says the preview expired
Previews wait 5 minutes so a confirm always matches the terms you just read.
Ask again for a fresh preview, then confirm inside the window.
“Private markets keep their link private. …”
Markets made from X are always public.
Make a private market on bazaar.playhunch.xyz/create instead.
Bankr says an update is available for the skill
A newer version is out. The installed one keeps working.
Run the same install command again; it replaces the installed copy.
Bankr refuses the install over a name conflict
You already have a different skill called hunch-bazaar.
Delete or rename that one under Installed at bankr.bot/skills, then install again.
FAQ
Does creating a market cost anything?
No. Confirming makes your Bankr wallet sign one plain message (a free personal_sign proof). It sends no transaction, pays no gas, and needs no USDC in the wallet.
Do I need a Hunch or Bazaar account?
No. Your Bankr wallet is your Bazaar account, and your X handle is the face on the card. The handle shows as verified once Bankr's resolver ties it to the same wallet.
Can I edit a market after it goes live?
No. The question, outcomes, criteria, sources, close and deadline are fixed the moment it publishes; that is why the preview shows every term first. Before resolving, you can void it with a reason and every bettor is refunded in full.
Who can resolve it?
Only you: the wallet that created it. Anyone else who replies “resolve YES” is told it is yours to settle, and nothing is signed.
When can I resolve?
After betting closes and before your deadline (close + 72h by default). Bazaar closes the market within about 10 minutes of its close time; then the resolve goes through.
What if I never resolve?
48 hours after your deadline, every bettor is refunded in full with no fee, and the auto-refund stays on your public record.
Can I bet on my own market?
Yes. What you hold is shown on the card next to your name, so bettors can see it.
What do I earn?
1% of the pool when your market resolves with winners: half of the 2% fee. Voids and refunds carry no fee, so they earn nothing.
Where does the money go?
Stakes are paid in USDC on Base to Hunch's settlement account, 0x4F0d7622984b38DfB2D1F86F10eEE564566C09F2. It is not a market escrow contract: Hunch's backend records bets and sends payouts and refunds, each with a Basescan receipt.
Can I make a private market from X?
No. A private market's link is its key, and an X thread is public, so markets made through Bankr are always public. Private markets are made on the web.
Does it work outside X?
Creating through Bankr is built on X posts: the post that asks is the market's source and its one-market-per-post key. Betting, reading and resolving work anywhere Bankr does.
I'm building an agent, not posting on X.
Use the keyless agent API or MCP instead: the same markets, the same wallet proofs. Start at /api/bazaar/v1/getting-started.
